This policy explains what Heipung Private Limited collects when you run a kitchen through our platform, why we hold it, and the control you keep over it.
Who this covers
This policy applies to the kitchens and chains that use Heipung, to the members of their teams who hold accounts, and to the order information that flows through the platform - including details that reach us from the delivery platforms you connect.
What we collect
- Account information - the names, work emails and roles of the people you invite to your Heipung account.
- Kitchen configuration - your menus, recipes, stations, SLA windows and the platforms you connect.
- Order data - the contents, timing, status and delivery information of orders that pass through the belt.
- Usage data - how the platform is used, so we can keep it fast and fix what breaks.
Why we hold it
We use this information to run the order queue, display SLA countdowns, deduct stock against recipes, forecast prep demand from your own history, coordinate dispatch, and report performance back to you. In short - to make the belt work and to keep improving how it works for your kitchen.
Delivery platform data
When you connect a delivery platform, order details pass to Heipung so we can prepare and dispatch those orders. We request only the access needed for that purpose. We do not sell this data, and we do not repurpose one customer's order history to advantage another kitchen.
How forecasting uses your history
Demand forecasting is trained on your own orders. Your history informs your predictions and is kept within the scope of your account. It is used to serve your kitchen, not pooled indiscriminately across unrelated businesses.
Retention
Operational data is kept for as long as it is useful to your reporting and forecasting, then aged out on a defined schedule. When you end your use of Heipung, you can request deletion of your data, subject to any records we are required to retain by law.
Who can access it
Inside your account, access is role-based - your team sees what their role needs. On our side, access to production data is limited to the people who operate and support the platform, and that access is logged.
How it is protected
Data is encrypted in transit between your kitchen and Heipung, and encrypted at rest in our systems. Credentials and platform tokens are stored separately from operational order data. Our current security posture is described plainly on the Security page.
Your choices
You can disconnect any delivery platform at any time, manage who holds an account, and request access to or deletion of your data. To exercise any of these, reach us through the Talk to us page.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data changes in a way that affects you, we will make the current version of this policy available here and, where the change is significant, tell you directly.
